Some of our recent projects are listed below, for further information please email us at info@lisburncitycsp.org.uk.

Message in a Bottle Campaign

The Message in a Bottle scheme is operating throughout the Lisburn area. The scheme offers an ideal way of communicating important personal health information and details of relatives or friends who may need to be contacted in an emergency.  This information is completed on a form which is contained in a plastic bottle which is subsequently placed in the fridge in your home. A green cross sticker is attached to your fridge and another obvious internal place to notify emergency services that your information is available to them in the fridge.

Emergency services such as Police, Fire or Ambulance personnel can utilise this information in an emergency situation such as a personal accident or where a person may have collapsed and is unable to communicate with them on arriving at their home.  The scheme has already proved invaluable in the Lisburn area when a male person collapsed at home and his wife who was so worried and upset was unable to communicate with the Ambulance personnel who were called to her home. The lady was able to hand over the bottle containing al the relevant information about her husband’s health and medication issues and she believes that this action helped to save her husband’s life. You can obtain a bottle at the following locations:

Lisburn Health Centre, Hillsborough Health Centre, Dairy Farm Health Centre, Lisburn Fire Station, Lisburn PSNI Station

Bottles are also available from Safer Lisburn office, phone 028 92 629060
